Destination Angela + Peter

on August 6, 2009
I met Angela at the beginning of the year. She was really on top of her game when she made her appointment. She had done her research, knew that she wanted an Envelopments invitation and just needed to touch and feel the stock she had in mind. I was in heaven! We would be able to get things done ahead of the time I usually allow due to her pre-planning.

She and her fiance, Peter, were planning to get married in the Bahamas. They also planned on having a reception to celebrate afterwards since not everyone would be able to attend. With this in mind, she wanted me to design the invitations, a monogram (to use later) and her reception invites. We had so much fun going outside of the box! She didn't want the traditional "tropical" colors for the invite--her color palette was rose, black and taupe. The final design incorporated everything but the rose. Instead, we used a modern but sophisticated paisley patterned stock.

If you thought these turned out nicely, stay tuned for her second invite. Yes, her second one. Unfortunately, they had to cancel their destination wedding due to some unforeseen family events.
